New Ipod Classic 120Gb 8 May 09

After much deliberation and sourcing, I finally decided on getting the IPOD classic 120Gb. The main reason is that I needed a reliable mp3 player with lots of space to store my videos and music, something light and easy to carry around. After checking out the various comments, both on the net and with friends, the ipod classic fits my needs best. The other Mp3 players are ok, but they lack the kind of support and accessories I would like. I have already been using itunes, so it is most fitting to have ipod to easily synchronise with.

Of course, the ipod is not very cheap.

I initially went to audio house on 2 May (sat) at liang court, as it has a grand opening sale. They only have it in silver and everything in the package at $398.00. which is the normal offer price I can get everywhere. So I decided against it, but instead drop by epi centre at Wheellock place during lunchtime on Monday instead. What a surprise! at the same price, I got the black ipod and some freebies too (protector, skin, charger adapter, and earphones). Can u imagine getting more value at the official apple store than at other places? This wouldn't happen with other electrical gadgets! Ph yeah, cause I buy at epi, I got a membership card that gives me 5% discount on apple products, which I used on getting the radio remote for the ipod.

I am happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my ipod. I synchronise my podcast - catholics answers live and mr brown show, as well uploaded my songs and videos. Most of my songs are catholic songs, which helps me to focus when I am travelling around. I also converted many of the youtube music videos from the xinyao and catholic MVs to play on the ipod.

While I realise that many of the applications on the singapore itunes website is targeted to itouch and ipones, with almost nil application for ipod classic, I am still ok, as I wanted a simple music and video player.

We'll see how the ipod classic performs in the coming months/years, but so far, I think it is worth the price.
