Nikon just announced the release of its latest DSLR, the Nikon D90 on 27 Aug 08.
The D90 is a replacement for the D80, and is a 12Mp DSLR with live-view that is the world's first video DLSR (although I don't know if I will be using the video mode, as I have got my trusty Canon handycam).
I have my trusty D50 for 3 years now, and I certainly have taken many memorable pictures with it. All my trips from Stockholm, Taiwan, UK were taken with the D50. The D90 allows me more control over the way I shoot. I only buy stuff when I have a use for them though, so I don't usually need to justify my purchases to anyone.
