Summer is a great time for garden parties, especially when you are celebrating birthdays!
We are really blessed to have friends invite us to their wonderful homes to spend some time together.
First, Gemma and TG's home for a tea-party to celebrate their daughters' birthdays. Yes, both Annika and Hannah were born in July.
Then, Cilla's beautiful yet wonderfully cosy home on 14th July for a get-together of members of Friends International. That day happens to be her birthday too.
Natalie wearing a toy hardhat enjoying herself in the sun in Cilla's garden.
Dummy camera's not fast enough to capture Rebecca with the hardhat on =)
Cilla's garden is big, with one half being open space where the children can play ball, and the ladies croquet. The other half is covered woodland where Rebecca enjoyed herself on the swing. I know, she doesn't look particularly happy in the picture, does she?
Natalie on the other hand collected pine cones and had a competition with Francois and Bernard (from Malaysia, but born in Switzerland where Dad did PhD), aiming cones at a discarded pot.
Finally, Kay Suk's place to celebrate her elder daughter Lucy's 5th birthday. Wow, her garden is a veritable children's playground haven! A huge trampoline, swings and ladder ropes, even a bouncy castle, ball pool etc! Then, the children could draw, paint or design their own gingerbread men too!
Lucy and Natalie with their masterpieces... Rebecca had a ride with me carrying her and bouncing up and down on the trampoline! She's just getting off the trampoline in the picture.
