Natalie is down with fever, running nose and cough since Saturday. Its been like 6 days now. We keep giving her fever medicine and stuff to help her get well. However, after the 1st 2 days, she is up and playing, except she gets grouchy, and still coughs and has mucus running from her noce...gross! We have to keep blowing her nose for her.
Anyway, we were still comtemplating sending her to school on Tuesday and Wednesday, as she did not have any more fever. Finally, we decided not to, as she is still sick. Natalie was happy that she did not have to go to school, and she went around telling auntie that she need not go to school. That's until I told her she cannot go to the playground or have ice cream! She paused for a while and said she could go to the playground for 1 slide or a ride, and se could also share ice cream with mommy!
Anyway, Natalie has been pretty well behaved this week. She don't cry as often, demanding for this and that. We could certainly vouch that her manners are better now that she is learning that in the UK. I admire the british for their manners, or at least that of my uncle, auntie and my cousins. Things we do not usually do in Singapore. For example, my cousins kissed their mum and dad everytime they meet or say goodbye. They eat sitting down at the dining table, with the table setup properly. They dress well on all occassions, especially for weddings, etc. There are things which are different with life in Singapore, but I won't go there now. Suffice to say, Natalie has improved alot and her english has certainly improved alot too Mind you, she still converse to us in mandarin most of the times, but she knows when to switch to proper english when speaking to others.
Do pray for Natalie to get well soon!
