Georgia said that she didn't have a good night sleep on Saturday night, must have been too excited about the impending baptism ;p So there she was, thinking whether this severely sleep-deprived mum could actually go through the day.
When mass was over in the morning, everything fell nicely into place. The buffet people came early to set things up, and people we invited started turning up way before the baptism started. The baptism itself was simple and meaningful. To me, it brought back memories of my own, re-affirming my commitment to the faith. What touched us further was the obvious thought spent on doing the baptism certificates for our babies. They are beautiful! Godparents also went home with certificates of their own.
The buffet food was a letdown though. The portions were tiny; we had catered for 45 people and even though the number who turned up was slightly less than that, we still ran out of some dishes. Shouldn't have given CDCS a second chance. Regret didn't go the whole hog and try caterers like Purple Sage or Kriston. Sigh! Those who turned up, forgive us for the food! =(
