Trust ( readings for 21 Jun 06

Sirach 48:1-14

Psalm 97

Matthew 6:7-15

I always loved the psalms, cause they are written out of love for God. You can always feel the emotions expressed by the writer, whether it is one of joy, aungish, zeal, etc. It is always about God's providence for them, which could not be expressed in mere words alone.

Trust is a weird thing. It is so fragile, hard to earn, harder to get once you lose it through your own deed and word. In this time and age, it seems such a remote things. We always seem to think that people have a reason for doing good. Society does play a role in this, with its media play up of mistrust.

You can only trust someone or something, if you are aware and have full, well almost full, knowledge of that someone or something. If not, that is just being ignorant. Trust should be based on past facts, your instinct and faith. It is a matter of knowing and believing, that things will happen as you believed it will. Kinda hard to explain.
