The Sacred heart of Jesus

Hosea 11:1, 3-4, 8-9
Ephesians 3:8-12, 14-19
Isaiah 12:2-6
John 19:31-37

Today's reading tells of what happens immediately after Jesus died on the cross. It's so sad to read of his death on the cross, yet so liberating. Everything happens as it was foretold. The scriptures has already predicted what happened to Jesus, our Saviour.

The picture is of the sacred heart of Jesus. I have a magnet of this picture in my office cubicle. When I lift my head from the computer, I see it, and is reminded of His love for me. Jesus' gaze on me is so tender, full of love. His heart shines out with the rays of His love for me.

Jesus suffered and died for our sake. The glory of His ressurection comes with a life of suffering, yet joyful and at peace with God the Father. My life seems so much easier compared to what Jesus went through. It strengthens me to pray and act according to His teachings. I really can't explain much, as it is such a mystery, but everyday, I grow to love and know more about my Lord.
