Never thought I would be in this situation. Always thought I could make do with just the kit lens, and have done so for 5 years now. Initially, did not think much of this lens, but having gone through the specs and review the lens, this one lens is great for street / travel photography. It is fast, light, decent 27 - 300mm ( 35mm equivalent) range and comes with VR. Reviews online have shown this lens to give sharp photos too. Fantastic one lens, coupled with a wide angle 12 - 24 mm and you are set for most of your photography.

Now, the waiting list is long, and the cost is about SGD 1200. How do I go about affording this lens? Anyone want to sponsor? My birthday is in Sept....;)
