Master of Wind & Sea

Job 38:1, 8-11
2 Corinthians 5:14-17
Psalm 107:23-26, 28-31
Mark 4:35-41

Today is 24 Jun, the 12 th Sunday Ordinary Time.

In Mark's reading, the disciples were afraid crossing the lake, even though Jesus was with them physically. They were afraid of the storm, afraid of dying. Yet Jesus shows that he could control the elements, and rebuked them gently of their little faith.

t seems easy to just criticise the disciples of their lack of faith, yet many times, when we are in danger, when we are going through our trials and tribulations, the last thing on our mind is that God is with us, and that we put our trust in God, that he will take care of us. Only in the last desperate moment, will we pray to God, hoping with doubts in our mind, that He will deliver us.

It is with constant prayer that we remember to constantly focus our attention on God.

God has always been a part of my life, even when I was little, although at the time, I did not know Him at all. It's only when He called me back to Him at the age of twelve, that I realise how much I depended on Him. Yet many times, I turn away from Him, whenever I could. God never gave up on me. I am glad that he has blessed me with faith. Perhaps I will share more on my conversion later.
