John7:27-29:

27Yet we know where this man is from; but when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.’ 28Then Jesus cried out as he was teaching in the temple, ‘You know me, and you know where I am from. I have not come on my own. But the one who sent me is true, and you do not know him. 29I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.’

This 3 verses seems to reach out to me today, as I read the passage. People tend to form impressions of us because they know or knew us before. It's as if the impressions never get changed. My parents used to think I do not drink coffee, as I only drink milo as a child. But hey, I am 33 years old, and not a small child anymore. I guess they do think that I am still their small little boy. Some friends and relatives we know, tend to think that our views is not as important, and that we still need to be taught, that we are inexperienced. Jesus fully understood how I felt, as he went through the same kind of views from his townsmen, people who thought they knew him. Yet He has a higher purpose in life. The Son of God made man to die for our sins!

Thank you Lord Jesus!
