I had earlier wrote in my blog that I bought a Ipod classic after much deliberation.
I was initially disappointed with the itunes singapore, as it only allows for applications downloads for ipod touch and iphones. There isn't much support for the ipod classic, so you can't download music of movies. These, I would need to find alternatives. More about that later.
However, the best thing I liked about the ipod is because the classic has got a 120 Gb hard disk, which allows me to upload thousands of songs and stuff there. What I loved most is the convenience of automatically getting free podcasts on a variety of my interests. Here's an uncomplete list of the podcast I loved (well, at least the top 5 of my choice). You can go to the relevant website, or do a search on itunes US site for free podcast downloads.
1) The Shareen & Joe Show - This is my favourite local podcast, which I listen to every day, and repeatedly, cause it's so Singaporean, and so funny. People think I am crazy laughing to myself when reading the papers on the train to work, when actually I am laughing at what i hear on this podcast. You can get them from itunes or at their website morningjam.com. I highly recommend it! Do support this very Singaporean production.
2) Catholic Answers Live - This is my dose of catholic apologetics. It's actually podcast of the daily american catholic answers 2 hr call-in radio show. It's great for catholics and non-catholics, as it talks about the catholic faith, and many of the speakers used to be protestian leaders, until they realised and found out the truth about the catholic truth. 3) Geekbrief TV - This is my favourite tech blog. Kelly Lewis does a wonderful job presenting on various tech stuff and gadgets. Their website gives a good breakdown of info. I also follow Kelly on twitter too!
4) Science Friday - This is my favourite science video podcast. There are so many science related experiments that is being shown, that it makes me wonder what i did during my primary & secondary school years. Do you know I had difficulty getting a basic chemistry set here in Singapore? A search only provides me with a list of science exams papers in Singapore! I finally got a set of science experiments from Toy R' Us! Shows u how serious Singapore is about developing scientists! but this podcast shows us what we could have achieved from science
5) Mr Brown Show - my very first podcast I always used to listen to. Mr Brown and team are very creative in blogging about the various local Singaporean issues. It is the other rare updated local podcast and very singaporean. It gives me hope that Singaporeans are actually very creative and ingenious! the songs are just so amazingly good.
