Its been more than a week since my last post. This is mainly due to the revision for the exams, plus I have got a industrial attachment module, where I am to carry out research on water quality and visiting the DWI and water treatment works for an audit. That was an eye-opener indeed. Everyone was so friendly and took their time to share their experiences with us, despite having a backlog of work piled up.
Georgia & I had a chat the other day, and she was telling me that she suddenly realised the reason why in the past, our families and friends would just brush us off whenever we speak up. We thought it was because they thought we were too young, too emotional or untrustworthy. It hardly seemed to be the case, because alot of people come to us to ask for help. On reflection, it seemed that it is really because we speak and do what is right. People know we are right, yet they brush us aside and don't listen to us, because they do not want to "rock" the boat or take the narrow path.
Of course, its not everyone. We certainly got on fine with our godparents and their families; as well as friends from our church. That is because we are bound and guided by the Holy Spirit.
Doing what is right is difficult. Jesus never promise a bed of roses when we choose to follow Him. He only promise the most narrow and direct path to God. However, he didn't leave us alone. He instituted the catholic church to lead us and sent the Holy Spirit to be with us and strengthened us.
