Post Exam week (13 - 17 May 08)

Its been a daze after the exams. I got dazed last semester too. I went around not sure what to do for a period of time after the exams. As if suddenly the stress is over & I don't know what to do...no objectives, no motivation, even though I still have to complete a 15,000 word research report and a dissertation project. I know I do not have much time with deadlines and all, but I can't seem to get productive.

Took 2 days off on Tuesday & Wednesday. No books or research at all. We went out to Camberley and spend some time together, though Georgia still thinks that I am impatient to want to go back to do my own stuff and my research. She felt as if spending time with the family is like wasting time for me. Its not. I am really sorry it seems that way. It's just that with the girls needing lots of attention and stuff, it's hard to keep your cool. You want things to turn out in a certain way, but usually it doesn't. Its not easy being a full time student with a family of young kids. Its certainly tougher being a stay at home mum with no breaks at all from the kids, though. Tensions do run high. I am the kind of guy who also need time off for my own stuff. I will just have to pray more and concentrate on the important things like family.

Weather was amazing last week. Lots of people enjoying themselves in the sun, while I sat in the library studying, looking out the window at them. We even got to go out without our jacket for once....After the exams, the weather turned cold, and it started to rain heavily. Sigh! It just saps your energy when its always cold and wet. Truth be told, its still much better than in Singapore, where it is hot, wet and worse humid! From personal experience, the humidity is what's causing my eczema and allergic Rhinitis. No specialist will believe me, because its not based on experimental results. Perhaps a study should be carried out in this area....hmmm

Its not as bad as the earthquake in china nor the cyclone in Burma though, so no complaints there. We can only pray and see what else we could do for the people who are in the disaster area. Its pretty amazing though, how the world rallies around the major disasters, and it prompts people into action. Even my fellow clubsnappers are volunteering and organising the photoaid event to raise funds....See weblink here
