After all the celebration, feasting and presents, I was beginning to wonder what is the meaning of Christmas. As usual, God chose to give me His message at the opportune time.

We awoke quite late, and had to miss the 10.15am mass, but instead decided to go for the 11.45am mass instead. At least we could have breakfast and then go early for the mass.

We took the 2nd pew, right after the reader's pew in front. While i was settling Natalie, her string fell on the ground. I waited to picked it p, and I noitced this girl who immeidately reached across the auntie she was sitting with to help me picked it up. One look and you could tell she is not "normal". I see her from time to time in the past. yes, she seemed not"normal" in the worldly sense, cause she seemed to be abit low IQ and such, but that's the world judgement of her. During the mass, she sang happily for God, and when she realised that her auntie who was with her is feeling cold, she took off her jacket and gave it to her auntie. The jacket that was meant for her to cover herself, and her sores on her body. She woldn't care what the other people think of her, just that her auntie is cold.

I was very touched. here is someone who sees others in need, and would rush to help them, irregardless of any inconvenience or trouble for herself. She sees other's needs before her own. She might not be very intelligent, and I suspect not very successful in the world. infact she seems to need others to take care of her, yet she do what she can to help those around her. She is not concerned about events happening elesewhere, just her immediate vicinity, what she could see around her, see the suffering around her and do what she could to help.

How apt her actions are to the message of Christmas. Christmas is love being manifested around you. All we need is to show a little kindness to the people around us.

After Mass, we went home before going to Godma's place to celebrate Christmas at her place in Marine Parade.
