1st day of Christmas Celebration - 23 Dec 06

Today, 23 Dec 06, is the 1st day of our Christmas Celebration. We are making our rounds as Santa Claus. Thank God we got a car to ferry the stuff around. We brought 2 bags of gifts out. 1st stop is at my in law's place at Tanglin Halt. We arrive there at 12.30pm, and everyone is already there.

Turns out that Kok Hwa, Joey and the kids have a wedding dinner in JB at 5pm, so they intend to leave by 1pm so that the kids can get some rest. Due to the heavy downpour they have to leave at 2pm though.....

Anyway, Georgia had to quickly pass them their gifts. We distributed the gifts after we had lunch. The children has to go bring out Shirley's gift, some of which was not even wrapped. They went treasure hunting and came back happily with all our gifts.

I had a key pouch and an salve for my skin; Georgia got a phone pouch, a beauty set, and something else...: Natalie got a horse cushion, a set of markers, a set of cards, a net for her stuff.
The Selinas were not very happy with their slippers we get them. Its either they don't like the colours or they don't like the princess character on them. Yinyin left her slippers behind though, as they left in a hurry.

We left around 3pm to go to Suntec for some shopping and snacks.

In the evening, we decided to visit our favourite yakun haunt in Yishun Northpoint. the aunties there were so nice to us when we visit the place every week for coffee and toasts. They would buy fishball, sweets and stuff for Natalie. Natalie loves to run over to the dorway to say hello to them. the aunties practically watch her grow up and they loved her so much. We thought we would get them some presents - biscuits wrapped for them to share. As there were 2 shifts, we got 2 sets of presents for them. When we gave the presents to them, the aunties were so happy. They gave us free drinks and even went out to Robinson to buy presents for Natalie!!! Wow, we got so much more.

After coffee, we left and went to Kiddy palace to buy the stroller we had been eyeing for a week. Its at S$79.90 after discount, and is a tall stroller with 4 positions and quite nice. It is just what we need. We went around to see if there are any better strollers, but this one seemed to fit our needs most. So we went there and bought the stroller in 15 minutes.

Natalie came home and started opening her presents from the yakun aunties. She is so excited by the kitchen set and the cute chihuahua they bought her. the chihwahwa can move and she squeels in delight when she touched the doggie when it moved. Now she is sleeping with the little doggie. Tired out with all the gift opening....We pray that she will be ok for the coming Christmas celebration. Afew more days to go.
